NEWCASTLE'S great warrior County Tyrone turns 10 today but is far from reaching his use-by date.
County Tyrone, which will trial at Newcastle on Wednesday and race over 1500 metres in Sydney on Saturday week, is being set for the Wyong and Newcastle cups. "There is no time frame for old County's retirement," trainer Kris Lees said. "He has had one trial already this preparation and continues to just love being round the stable. It is just a matter of him telling us if he still wants to run, and if he does then he will continue to race."Meanwhile, Mitchell Beadman had a strong cheer squad when he scored on Brawny at Wyong on Tuesday. Watching from the grandstand were parents, Darren and Kim Beadman, who have just returned from Hong Kong.
